A delightful and comforting dish featuring tender chicken, pasta, and a rich cheesy sauce, all baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces pasta of your choice (penne, rotini, or elbow)
  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup mixed frozen vegetables (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta by bringing salted water to a boil and cooking according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Mix the sauce by combining softened cream cheese, sour cream, and chicken broth in a large bowl. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the sauce mixture. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  4. Combine the cooked pasta and shredded chicken into the sauce mixture. If using frozen vegetables, add them now. Stir until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
  6. Top with the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Serve after letting it cool slightly. Enjoy!
