A warm and comforting creamy chicken noodle soup made in a crockpot that combines shredded chicken, hearty egg noodles, and a rich broth.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup egg noodles
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup heavy cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In your slow cooker, add the shredded chicken, chicken broth, sliced carrots, sliced celery, diced onion, minced garlic, and dried thyme. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the Soup: Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the vegetables are tender and flavors are well combined.
  3. Add Noodles: About 30 minutes before you are ready to serve, add the egg noodles to the crockpot. Stir well to combine and cover.
  4. Add Cream (Optional): If you’d like a creamier texture, stir in the heavy cream just before serving.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Ladle the soup into bowls and enjoy your deliciously thick and creamy chicken noodle soup!

Notes

Timing is key for adding noodles to prevent mushiness. Use quality chicken broth for the best flavor.
